Duas For Marriage

When asking Allah, you should raise your hands and you praise Allah and offer salutations to the prophet Muhammad SAW.

You should ask Allah to send you someone who fears Allah, who is practicing, and who would make you happy in this life and the hereafter.

Dua #1

رَبِّ إِنِّى لِمَآ أَنزَلۡتَ إِلَىَّ مِنۡ خَيۡرٍ فَقِيرٌ 

Transliteration

Rabbi innee lima anzalta ilayya min khayrin faqeer.

Meaning in English

Oh My Lord! I am in need of whatever good You may send to me.

This Dua changed Prophet Musa’s life, so hold onto it when you face impossible circumstances. The Dua is in surah Qasas verse 24.

When prophet Musa (AS) arrived at Madyan, he had nothing; no food, no shelter, nowhere to go. 

But when he recited “RABBI INNEE LIMA ANZALTA ILAYYA MIN KHAIRIN FAQEER” which translates to “My Lord, indeed I am, for whatever good You would send down to me, in need.“, he was given a wife, a life, a purpose, a message, and a companion.

رَبِّ لا تَذَرنى فَردًا وَأَنتَ خَيرُ الوٰرِثينَ

Transliteration

Rabbi la tatharnee fardan waanta khayru alwaritheen.

Meaning

The meaning of Rabbi la tazarni in English is Oh my Lord do not leave me alone and You are the best of inheritors.

رَبَّنَآ ءَاتِنَا فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ

Transliteration

Rabbana Atina Fid Dunya Hasanatan wa fil akhirati hasanatan wa qina azaban naar.

English Translation

Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.

رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا

Transliteration

Rabbana Hablana min Azwajina wa zurriyyatinaa qurrata a’ayun, waaj’alnaa lil muttaqeen imaamaa.

Meaning In English

Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous.

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that when a man got married he would congratulate him and pray for him, saying:

The Dua for newly married couple in Arabic is: 

بارَكَ اللّهُ لَك، وَبارَكَ عَلَـيْك، وَجَمَعَ بَيْـنَكُما في خَـيْر

Transliteration

Baarakallaahu laka, wa baaraka alayka, wa jama a baynakumaa fee khayrin.

Meaning

The meaning of the Dua is May Allaah bless you and bring blessings upon you and bring you together in goodness.
