Meaning Of The Verse

  • Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah; and those with him are forceful against the disbelievers, merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and prostrating [in prayer], seeking bounty from Allah and [His] pleasure.
  • Their sign is in their faces from the effect of prostration [i.e., prayer].
  • That is their description in the Torah. And their description in the Gospel is as a plant which produces its offshoots and strengthens them so they grow firm and stand upon their stalks, delighting the sowers – so that He [i.e., Allah] may enrage by them the disbelievers. Allah has promised those who believe and do righteous deeds among them forgiveness and a great reward.

Surah Al Fath verse 29

The Messenger of Allah was mentioned with Ahmad, variant of Muhammad in Surah As-Saff, verse 6, in which Allah says:

Translation

And [mention] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, “O Children of Israel, indeed I am the messenger of Allah to you confirming what came before me of the Torah and bringing good tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name is Ahmad.” But when he came to them with clear evidences, they said, “This is obvious magic.”

Ahmad in Quran

The Quran enumerates little about the early life of the prophet Muhammad SAW or other biographic details, but it talks about his prophetic mission, his moral excellence, and theological issues regarding him.

However, Muhammad is also referred to with various titles such as the Messenger of Allah, Prophet, unlettered, etc., and many verses about Muhammad refer directly or indirectly to him.

Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) was the final prophet sent to all of humanity and is regarded as the seal of prophets.

He was chosen to preach the message of faith in Allah and rejection of all other gods. He was sent as a mercy and kindness to the people, guiding and setting how every Muslim ought to live.

He was also given the final book, the Holy Quran, in which all Islamic laws and guidelines are written.

Although he was not directly frequently mentioned in the Quran, his importance is undeniable and has continued to influence and guide nations for over 1400 years.
