Prophet Ibrahim and his son, Prophet Ismail performed the highest and most exalted of deeds with the permission of their Lord, the Most High.

And they ask Our Lord, accept it from us, so contemplate how their condition was of fear and hope that their work would not be accepted.

The All-Hearing and All-Knowing are two names of Allah from His Beautiful Names that indicate the attribute of Hearing and Knowledge.

Meaning: You are the Hearer of our words, among which are our supplications, the All-Knowing of what is in the consciences of our souls of submission to You, obedience in word and deed, and nothing is hidden from You in our hearts.

And limiting the attributes of hearing and knowledge to Him, may He be exalted, to show the specialty of their supplications in Him, and the cessation of their hope for everything else besides Him.

And since the servant is no matter what, he must fall short and need repentance.

They said: And repent to us, they said it in order to digest themselves, and to teach the offspring after them to adhere to this request, and the great purpose.

And their saying: You are the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful:

This sentence, like the previous one, is an explanation for the request for acceptance, and a further summons for an answer.

The Merciful: that is, the one who has comprehensive mercy for the believers on the Day of Resurrection, and this name: is specific to the believers on the Day of Resurrection.

These two verses contain many great benefits, including:

The importance of acceptance, as the course of good deeds is upon him, and this is based on faithfulness to God Almighty, and following what the pure Shariah has brought.

The verse indicates: that the servant must persevere in asking God to accept his deeds after performing them, including supplication, for this was from the guidance of our beloved Prophet SAW.

He used to ask forgiveness three times after the prayer, and he would say after the morning prayer:

O Allah, I ask of you useful knowledge and sustenance, good and acceptable deed.

The believer should be, in the state of his worship of his Lord and his supplication, fearful and hoping, like the wings of a bird.

Asking Allah, the Most High, by His Names and Attributes, with what is appropriate for the request and the question.

For (the All-Hearing) is appropriate for hearing their supplications, and the All-Knowing is appropriate for the knowledge of their intentions, and the sincerity of their supplication, as well as the (Repentant, Merciful).

Maintaining humility and humility to God Almighty in the event of obedience to Him, even if it is for the sake of worship and standing.

That supplication is the refuge and destination of all the prophets and messengers, and that the believer is indispensable to him in all his legal and worldly conditions.

Rejecting self-admiration, and not referring to God Almighty for the work that he has done, for that spoils the work.

The importance of asking Allah SWT, to be steadfast in Islam, which includes submission to God Almighty, physically and spiritually.
