Surah Taha 25 28 Meaning In English

Surah Taha Verse 25-28 In Arabic Text

25. قَالَ رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي
26. . وَيَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرِي
27. . وَاحْلُلْ عُقْدَةً مِنْ لِسَانِي
28. . يَفْقَهُوا قَوْلِي

Transliteration

• Qaala Rabbish rah lee sadree
• Wa yassir leee amree
• Wahlul ‘uqdatan milli saanee
• Yafqahoo qawlee.

Surah Taha 25 28 Meaning In English

25. Musa said, My Lord, fill my heart with courage and steadfastness,
26. and make my task easy for me,
27. And remove the impediment from my speech,
28. So that they will understand what I say.

Explanation Of These Four Verses

My Lord, fill my heart with courage and steadfastness; so that I may bear with patience any offence in word and deed, and I will not be distressed by that or feel anxious.

For if a person feels distressed and anxious, he will not be fit to call people to guidance.

Allah said to His Prophet Muhammad, may Allah be Pleased with him:

It is by the mercy of Allah that you deal gently with them. If you had been harsh or hard-hearted, they would have dispersed from around you…

Surah Al ‘Imran 3: verse 159

People may be more receptive to the truth if the caller has a kind attitude, is steadfast and has an easy manner with people.

And make my task easy for me) that is, make easy for me every path I take and every aim I pursue for Your sake, and make bearable for me all the hardships that lie ahead of me.

Part of making his task easy is guiding the caller to handle matters in an appropriate manner and to speak to each person in the way that is appropriate for him, using the approach that will make the message more easily accepted.

And remove the impediment from my speech, so that they will understand what I say). He had a speech impediment which made his words barely comprehensible, as the commentators said, and as Allah tells us elsewhere that he said:

Surah al-Qasas 28: 34

So he asked Allah to remove the impediment so that they would understand what he said, and so as to achieve more fully the purpose of speaking, talking, discussing and explaining meanings.
