• Transliteration – Akrahu al-ḏahāb kārijan indamā yakūnu al-jaw hakazā. 
• Meaning – I really hate going outside when the weather is like this.

آه, لا! لَقَد نَسيتُ مِظَلَّتي. هَل يُمكِنُني اِقتِراض مِظَلَّتِك؟

• Transliteration – Ah, lā! laqad nasītu miẓallatī. hal yumkinunī iqtirāḍ miẓallatik? 
• Meaning – Oh no, I forgot my umbrella! Can I borrow yours?

يُوجَدُ الكَثيرُ مِن الغُبار هُنا! يَجِب عَلَيَّ الذَهابُ إلى المَنزِل لِلاِستِحمام.

• Transliteration – Yūjadu al-kaṯīru min al-ġubār hunā! yaǧib ʿalayya al-ḏahābu ʾilā al-manzil lilistiḥmām. 
• Meaning – There is so much dust here! I need to go home and shower.

إنَّ الجَوَّ حارٌّ جِدّاً بِالنِسبَةِ لي, لا يُمكِنُني أَن أَتَحَمَّل

• Transliteration – Inna al-jawwa ḥārrun jiddan bilnisbaẗi lī, lā yumkinunī ʾan ʾataḥammal! 
• Meaning – It’s too hot for me! I can’t stand it!

الجَوُّ رائِع اليَوْم

• Transliteration – Al-jawwu rāʾiʿ al-yawm! 
• Meaning – The weather’s great today!

السَماء صافِيَة و الشَمسُ قَوِيَّة.

• Transliteration – Al-samāʾ ṣāfiyah wa al-šamsu qawiّah. 
• Meaning – The sky is clear and the sun is strong.

هُناكَ بَعض الغُيُوم في السَماء.

• Transliteration – Hunāka baʿḍ al-ġuyuūm fī al-samā.
• Meaning – There are some clouds in the sky.

السَماء بَدَأَت تُمطِر, لَكِنَّني لَيسَت لَدَيَّ مِظَلَّة.

• Transliteration – Al-samāʾ badaʾat tumṭir, lakinnanī laīsat ladayya miẓallah. 
• Meaning – It’s starting to rain, but I don’t have an umbrella.

إنَّ الجَوَّ بارِد, أُريدُ الذَهاب إلى المَنزِل.

• Transliteration – Inna al-jawwa bārid, urīdu al-ḏahāb ilā al-manzil.

إنَّها تُمطِر بِشِدَّة, هَل تَظُنُّ أَنَّ هَذا سَيُسَبِّبُ فَيَضاناً؟

• Transliteration – Innahā tumṭir bišiddah, hal taẓunnu ʾanna haḏā sayusabbibu fayaḍānan? 
• Meaning – It’s raining really hard. Do you think this will create a flood?

الزِلزال البارِحَة لَم يَكُن خَطيراً.

• Transliteration – Al-zilzal- al-bāriḥah lam yakun ḫaṭīran. 
• Meaning – The earthquake yesterday wasn’t serious.

هَل إنتَهى الجَفاف؟

• Transliteration – Hal ʾintahā al-ǧafāf?
